Inspired by many of her family members who had chosen careers in the field of medicine, Maritoni Malvar dreamed of becoming a doctor even as a little girl.  That dream was realized when she received a Doctor of Medicine degree from University of the East, Philippines.  She completed her residency at the St. Vincent Health Center, Erie, PA, and earned board certification by the American Board of Family Physicians in 2005.  It was in Erie that she discovered the gratification of administering cosmetic medicine which she practiced before moving to New Castle with her family in 2006. 

While Primary Care is her first love, cosmetic medicine is her passion.  Dr. Maritoni works personally with each individual to determine the best possible regimen of treatment and then performs all procedures herself.  Energized by her patients' successes, she says, "Age is only a number.  You are only as old as you look.  Thanks to this age of cosmetic medicine, I can turn back the hands of time for my patients.  I do all the treatments myself, because this is very personal to me."
